A little sneak peek on the history of Scotland
1)Scotland is actually a country that is part of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or more commonly known as United Kingdom(UK).
2)Scotland is the sovereign state of United Kingdom which means its a country that made up of more than 790 islands including the Northern Isles and the Hebrides
3)The capital city of Scotland is Edinburgh BUT the largest city is Glasgow!
4)Alba is the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland.
Lets begin with
Male highland dress includes kilt (or trews), sporran, sgian dubh and ghillies. Ghillies, or ghillie brogues, are traditional thick soled shoes with no tongues and long laces. The laces are wrapped around and tied above the wearer's ankles.The ghillie brogue is named after the ghillie, the traditional Scottish gamekeeper and outdoorsman.
Female highland dress includes women's shoes, also called ghillies, that are tied in the same way but have thin soles for indoor wear and dancing. Traditionally, women and girls do not wear kilts but may wear ankle-length tartan skirts. A tartan sash or shawl may also be worn.

Scottish music is a significant aspect of the nation's culture, with both traditional and modern influences. A famous traditional Scottish instrument is the Great Highland Bagpipe, a wind instrument consisting of three drones and a melody pipe (called the chanter), which are fed continuously by a reservoir of air in a bag. Bagpipe bands, featuring bagpipes and various types of drums, and showcasing Scottish music styles while creating new ones, have spread throughout the world. The clàrsach (harp), fiddle and accordion are also traditional Scottish instruments.The famous Auld Lang Syne is a Scots poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the tune of a traditional folk song (Roud # 6294). It is well known in many countries, especially in the English-speaking world; its traditional use being to celebrate the start of the New Year at the stroke of midnight. By extension, it is also sung at funerals, graduations and as a farewell or ending to other occasions

Scotland has plenty of festival but the highlight of festive is the Burns an’ a’ that! Festival.The festive is to celebrate Robert Burns in his home region of Ayrshire on 25th of January with a range of exciting events from traditional music and Scottish art to contemporary concerts from famous musicians.
As you can see above,Football is a sport that are well known as Rugby too became the famous sport in Scotland as their partake in Seven Nation,Rugby World Cup League and Rugby Union League Cup.

Curling is a sport in which players slide stones across a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four rings. It is related to bowls, boule and shuffleboard. Two teams, each of four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called "rocks", across the ice curling sheet towards the house, a circular target marked on the ice.It was introduced in February 2002, the International Olympic Committee retroactively decided that the curling competition from the 1924 Winter Olympics (originally called Semaine des Sports d'Hiver, or International Winter Sports Week) would be considered official Olympic events
Scotland 'shinty' is the predecessor of both ice hockey and normal hockey
About cycling,Kirkpatrick Macmillan was the one invented the pedal bicycle in 1839 as a Scottish blacksmith.
